Outfits of the Week July 13 - July 20

Each week I'll do a pic dump of my outfits I wore in the past seven days, rather than pick apart each one in a new post every time I change. I might do the occasional post of a look if I'm particularly proud of it.

a lazy beach outfit - that red strap you see is a swim suit
a classy business professional outfit - classic prints and textures make this look
a daring hot pink look - ombre hair give this look attitude

If I Were Callie: Lala's Picks

Callie, the face of Stardoll, releases new floors of her store Callie's Picks every two weeks, which is a store dedicated to putting old items back into circulation for new members. Every release has a theme, but not every release has good items for the theme.

This is a new feature I want to do about what items I would put into the release of Callie's Picks. I will review her release, and choose three outfits with unique items that I would have chosen to re-release.

Her latest theme is called Bikinimania, and is a summer oriented selection of bathing suits and summer items. I love this theme idea, because we've had cute swimming suits in the past that I was sad to see go. It's a smart move on their part to release this after releasing Underneath Stardoll, the invisible underwear store.

I'm pretty pleased with this release, although I didn't buy many items. There are a lot of old Hot Buys in it, though, which always lowers their value in the Starbazaar. It's no big deal to me though because I'm not a collector. I bought the Ferragasto Bikini Top and Bottom, Miss Sixty Cherry Earrings, and Pastel Strapped Sandals.

Now onto my selections! This was harder than I expected. I had to choose items that are no longer in Starplaza, cohesive, and on theme. I also needed to choose accessories and shoes.

The first look is a classic sailor inspired look that doesn't show much skin.

Coco hat from Decades
Monte Carlo Swim Suit from Monte Carlo (freebie)
Twenties Beach Shorts from Decades
Striped Ballet Flats with no brand tag

The second outfit is a turquoise and white two piece look.

Miss Sixty Daisy Pigtails from Miss Sixty
White Open Cardigan from Miss Sixty
Harajuku Bikini from Harajuku Girls Fragrance (freebie)
Beach Bracelet from Rio Chicas
Anchor Tote Bag from Spring Surprises (freebie)
Carved Teal Sandals from Original Future

Finally, the third is a girly flouncy look.

Orhange from Otto
Mermaid Scales Shawl from Bonjour Bizou
Bow Front Swim Suit from Pretty N Love
Olsenboye Rio Sandal from Olsenboye

What items would you have put in this week's Callie's Picks?

New Ombre Tressup Hairs Review

At first I was very confused why there were seemingly two pages of the same hairstyles, then realized the difference. Half of the hairs are ones you choose the color on one side, and the other half you choose the color on the other side. If that makes any sense.

My first impressions were good, at the first glance of the new floors I liked what I saw. As I tried the hairs on, I became more disappointed with them. Most of them are off to the side by a few pixels, which I absolutely can't stand. It bothers me to a large degree, for whatever reason. I almost want to contact Stardoll and ask them about it. Why can't we move the hairs left and right?

Anyways.

The concept of the new hairs is interesting, but I'm not a huge fan of not being able to choose what color half of the hair is.

The fact that some are only for superstars doesn't bother me, of course, because I am a superstar member.

A lot of them are super pricey though. For what reason? They are longer hairstyles? Tress-up used to be a cheaper store. With that being said, all of the stores used to be cheaper haha.

My favorites are Side Waves Yang and Kylie Yang. Those are the two I purchased, for 38 stardollars. I do not plan on buying their counterparts. Side Waves is very neat and classy, and Kylie is young but mature.

The other hairstyles would probably be nicer if they sat on the head right. I also like Isabela and Blondie, but they just don't look natural.

As for the Doree colors that came out, a lot of them are too close in color to ones that already exist and are particularly boring. That's not a bad thing, because we do need a few more natural hair tones to choose from in the starplaza.

Are you fond of the new levels in Tress-up?

Houndstooth

Finally, I am making a look post! This is a simple classic look, complete with bow tie.

Houndstooth jacket, bow tie, collared shirt, suspended trousers, quilted Chanel bag, solid white block heels, simple hair, minimal eye makeup, and a red lip make this look.

New Pretty N Love Decor Faves

Two new beautiful floors of Pretty N Pink Decor was released two days ago and these 11 items were what I bought, that came to a total of 87 stardollars.

The most expensive item of this haul was the Papavero painting, which is totally worth it to me because it's simply beautiful. I can't wait to try to incorporate this piece into a room.

Something I love about Pretty N Love Decor is how versatile the items are. Most of my favorite decor items are from this store.

As for the new collection as a whole, I'm not in love. I like-like it though :) It's a solid 8/10.

I think the items will be good for bedrooms, and office spaces. But the expensive starcoin clock is ridiculous, and the collection isn't entirely cohesive, like it's lacking theme or something.

Which items stand out to you? Do you think the 260 starcoin clock is worth it?

It's Been A Lazy Year

It's been an entire year since my last post here, and I am not proud of that, so I'm here to apologize and to announce that I'm going to start blogging again! My posts are going to be a little different though because how I was doing things before was tedious and probably the reason I got lazy.

I'm still going to do outfits and starbazaar hunts and reviews of stores. Later I'll put up my review of the new floors in Pretty N Love, and tomorrow I'll do an outfit, just to get things moving along here again!

Thanks for sticking around!
